Empress Dowager Ci'an's Opera-Watching Journal

After the Anglo-French invasion, Emperor Xianfeng fled to Rehe. Then, somehow, he didn't die? And so, "Cixi" was sidelined, "Tongzhi" never got his chance, the country began reform and opening up, and the women in the imperial harem grew resentful. At the tearful pleas of her sisters in the harem, the kind and generous Empress "Ci'an" had no choice but to take on the task of matching wits with her husband! "Your Majesty, you haven't visited the harem in half a year. What do you say to inviting the younger sisters to attend to you today?" Emperor "Xianfeng" set down his memorial and asked with a smile, "Empress, don't you know that in my past life, having too many women brought me karmic retribution, and in this life I'm, well, impotent?" Empress "Ci'an" curled her lip and stuck out her six-months-pregnant belly. She scolded him, "Oh, please! If you're, uh, impotent, where did this baby come from?" The emperor stroked his chin. "Well, don't be upset, Empress. I trust you wouldn't put horns on my head!" Dear readers, this is my new story. Please give me a hug! My story is almost finished. Come tease me, mwah!
