This is a short supernatural story, nothing technically impressive about it. Its only selling point is the second-person narration, how embarrassing.
A recent college graduate shares an apartment with someone. One day, she suddenly realizes that her room is getting smaller by the day.
Is it just her imagination, or is someone plotting against her?
Is the culprit her slovenly roommate, or... the shifting walls?
A few words about the inspiration (skip this if you think it's rambling):
When I was in elementary school, I saw a two-volume collection of horror stories at my cousin's house. What made it so unusual was that it was written in the second person, and the plot followed a format like the A.VG visual novel games that are so popular now. The chapters weren't connected, and the reader's choices at the end of each chapter led to different plots and endings.
Of course, with my terrible luck, I got a bad ending after just a few choices, and the entire adventure team was wiped out.
I still remember the last line of the ending:
"You close your eyes in despair, because you know it's all over for you."
N years later, I borrowed it from my older sister again, hoping to reread and finish it, only for her to say, "I've never owned a book like that."
Me: "..."
H-How mysterious, ahaha... If anyone knows about it, please give me some clues. I really want to read this awesome masterpiece, and... tell me this isn't a supernatural event!!
Theme:
Wow, it feels like it's not over yet, it's really over (●⊙?⊙●)
Well written. . . I saw your long entry. . Come on!!!
What the heck is going around?
It means that the sense of immersion is very strong! The last sentence is so shocking!
To poke the chrysanthemum of the leader upstairs, by the way, I have also read a second-person suspense story, but the short story in the magazine is probably not the same as the author.
The second person is more immersive. Second-person articles are most suitable for writing about ghosts, gods, horses, and supernatural beings. This is the second second-person article I have seen.
