Perfume

ZERO, a place overflowing with sin and lies, where even perfume cannot cover up the stench.

Blood blossoms aboard the Pandora. The heavenly voice of a wildly popular songstress drives people to despair. A replica that cannot cry or smile, stripped of all five senses, is discarded. A timid wretch takes up a butcher's knife, all for the chance to earn God's pity.

An angel falls in love with a demon. A beloved teacher falls for the heroine of this drama. Beneath a false mask is a deceitful smile, yet he seems bewitched, going mad for her.

The Perfume Queen contest, held once every four years. An eerie fragrance winds through a castle long fallen into ruin. When Mr. Bandit meets the red-haired boy, the gears of fate begin to turn once more.

"I really want to see whether I'm in your heart..."

Note 1: The poems in this story are taken from my beloved Heine.

Note 2: Cyberpunk style, episodic format, interwoven timelines. Read with caution if this isn't your thing.

Theme: Every perfume has a soul unlike any other.
