Nuwa

The autumn wind is clear, the autumn moon bright,

Fallen leaves gather, then scatter; startled crows roost, then take flight.

When will we meet again, our longing answered? This night, this hour, my heart is torn!

Step into my chamber of longing, and know the pain I bear.

Long longing brings memories without end; brief longing knows no bounds.

If I had known my heart would be so ensnared, why did we ever meet?
