Mo Yixian: Phoenix Zither

Phoenixes are a divine race of noble bearing from the Ninth Heaven.

They drink only morning dew, eat only tender bamboo, and nest only in parasol trees.

Who knows how long it had been like this? Perhaps many years.

She had no memories at all. She didn't even know who she was.

And yet, she was a tree spirit, the spirit of a parasol tree.

The only one who came to see her was a man in black. He said her name was Yue Tong.

That was probably right.

She didn't care if she had been deceived, because she had no past.

Nor would she have a future.
