Host / HOST: New Chapters

In the not-too-distant future, Earth is invaded by alien beings called "Souls." These creatures replace human beings by parasitizing their nervous systems. A Soul called Wanderer, who has lived on several planets, takes over the body of a girl named Melanie. But she discovers that the girl's consciousness has not disappeared, while human emotions and memories give her a shock unlike anything she has ever experienced. P.S. I personally think this novel is very cleverly conceived. The protagonist is an alien "Soul" inhabiting a human Host, and she then falls in love with the Host's lover. Although some of its ideas are a little too naive, The Host's unique premise makes it a solid work of hard science fiction. And that's not even counting the distinctive love story and journey into human nature, brought to life by Aunt Mel's delicate prose. These added chapters show what happens after Little Man falls asleep and Melanie wakes up. There isn't actually much content, but Aunt Mel's writing is so meticulous that translating the tangled feelings of the three characters took over ten thousand words. I bow down in awe... Theme:
