Fruits Basket + Prince of Tennis: To My Beloved Akito

Akito Sohma's frail body is wrapped in a dark red kimono. Though more than anyone, Akito fears loneliness, and though more than anyone, Akito longs for the warmth of the sun, the fear of betrayal and of being abandoned again has led Akito to wear a mask, using cold words to hurt others. Akito rejects everyone, and rejects themself as well. Such an Akito is both tragic and fragile. But if Akito cannot learn to love, true happiness will always remain out of reach. Yuki Sohma is one of the people possessed by the Chinese zodiac. He has lived under Akito's shadow since childhood. Abandoned by his parents, he doesn't know what it feels like to love or be loved. Like a walking corpse, he drifts through life each day without purpose. If he died, he could finally be free, right? Yuki had imagined that ending more than once, until the arrival of that girl brought warmth to his once-cold world. Yazuki Sohma is a girl cherished by God. One day, she steps into the world of the Chinese zodiac. But Yazuki, who comes from the outside world, lives more brightly than anyone. Akito is intensely jealous of that. Akito once said to Yazuki, "I wish you could stay by my side forever, as long as you don't betray me." Yazuki doesn't understand why Akito is so obsessive, or why Akito is so furious. Then one day, she finally understands Akito. She discovers her true feelings for Akito. And then she makes a vow: "If it's you, Akito, I can give up the sunshine outside and become the sunshine that belongs only to you."
