The protagonist is not a Mary Sue, so please don't flame me if that's not your thing.
She's just an ordinary girl with no special talent. She has to work hard at everything, with no shortcuts.
The first few dozen chapters mostly use one photograph after another to recall the past.
The romance between the adults doesn't begin until later. The author takes a while to warm up - -|||
And this shameless author can't promise whether it'll be a tragedy or a comedy. The ending is undecided! (What a shameless author.)
