I've lived for so long that there are too many things I have to forget. I can't remember a lot of them anymore.
Except for a long story about a vampire. Half of what happened to him, I learned only from his own telling. The other half, I came to understand only by quietly watching from the sidelines.
Still, the story remains vivid in my memory. I don't know why. Perhaps he was too unique, or the other vampire in the story was too unusual, or perhaps what happened between them was simply too incredible. Maybe it was all three.
Of all the nonhumans I've met who were once human, most retain at least a little of what they were like as humans after being accepted by another race. But the thing they give up most completely is their humanity.
Yet he was the nonhuman I've ever met who possessed the most humanity, while showing the least of it...
His name was Louis. I like to call him Louie, because in a way, I'm just like humans: I like giving the people I care about the shortest, most affectionate names.
The being who changed nearly everything about Louie was also a vampire. He once made the moonlight Louie's eternal sanctuary. Later, he became a saint beneath the sun... His name was Lestat.
I copied down the story of Lestat and Louie, then gathered it into a handwritten book of moderate length.
Then Louie told me the story ended there.
But I think that one day, the story of Lestat and Louie will deserve another thick manuscript from me.
This is my first time posting. Please forgive all the OOC moments O.O ... I want to write a story about Lestat and Louis, but it's hard to get inside either of their heads. So I decided to create a vampire and use myself, the reader, as a viewpoint character. Essentially, this story has no plot. It's simply my personal take on the relationship between Lestat and Louis in the original work.

Great, fried chicken sticks!! There are so few people leaving messages for Mao. This is the first Interview with the Vampire fanfic I have read. It feels very original and great!! ┏ (^ω^)=☞
Why not mark the title as "Interviewing a Vampire at Night"... When I clicked in, I saw "Vampire" and my eyes lit up. After reading the copy, I became interested. When I saw "Louis", I had a vague premonition... See you again "Lester"!!! Do you know how excited I am???!!! Very nice!
