[Fate & The Twelve Kingdoms] A Fateful Vow

Fate characters, set in the world of The Twelve Kingdoms. Kirisugu-centric. A collection of snippets and short stories, unrelated to one another. The premise of every story is that Kiritsugu is a king who has drifted into the Common World. The kirin and their chosen king vary, and the kirin isn't necessarily the love interest. It's been a long time since I read The Twelve Kingdoms, so the main storyline will revolve around Kiritsugu. Please forget the histories of the neighboring kingdoms in the original work and all that. The setting serves the plot, and some parts conflict with the original. Otherwise, given that kirin are gentle by nature and dislike killing, nearly all the original characters could be paired off. So I'll only keep their fear of blood. Also, the Common World in this story is the Common World from The Twelve Kingdoms. There is no magic or Holy Grail War. You can tell me what couples you'd like to see, and I'll consider it. But don't ask me for a happy ending. Two great tragedies, Fate and The Twelve Kingdoms, put together, and you still want a happy ending? How naive! If any story ends happily, it'll be because I couldn't think of how Kiritsugu might lose the Mandate of Heaven, and I glossed over the real ending that comes hundreds of years later.
