Eighty years have passed in peace since the founding ruler of the Yu Kingdom sheathed his sword. The names of its heroes could never be erased, but the flames of war from the age of upheaval have not returned. The smoke of battle has faded into the distance, and time has mottled the iron swords. Gold ornamentation has replaced dark blue armor as the dominant color of the imperial capital, Yuxun. War seems like a tale from ancient times, so distant it has all but faded from memory. To the south, the Wei Kingdom has sharpened its weapons and watches like a tiger ready to pounce, while the Yu Kingdom, long the hegemon of the Central Plains, maintains an outward calm. The star on the horizon that symbolizes turmoil releases a faint, blood-red glimmer, as if foretelling ill fortune. It flickers, then fades into darkness once more.
