A priest is the person on the team who most needs protection, and everyone "knows" they should protect them. But the truth is, the only person who can protect you is yourself. And it should be the priest protecting the team, not the team protecting the priest. The reason is simple: no team can protect a priest who overuses heal. The priest exists precisely to heal the team.
An excellent priest is knowledgeable and perceptive. They should understand the strengths of each class on the team, their commonly used skills, and their usual tactics. While traveling, they should take care to keep every teammate's Buffs up. In battle, they should keenly observe the changing battlefield and the use of skills, then offer healing when their teammates need it most. For example, heal when a warrior has taunted an enemy, or draw an enemy's attention when things get chaotic and a teammate's skills are already on Cooldown, buying the others time. This is indeed the highest standard of all the classes. But as the class closest to the gods, a priest should possess both wisdom and a great spirit of self-sacrifice.
Let me emphasize this again: no one can protect you. You are the one protecting the team.
An average team will shout, "Protect the priest, protect the priest!" But you know this is meaningless. It's not the kind of concern you need, yet you can't change this inexplicable situation. There's no way to explain in a few words how your teammates should fight or use their skills. You can only depend on their own ability. And the only person you can rely on is yourself.
Remember, every time you heal, a life is at stake.
