Nilin Gl (Marrying the Ugly Princess)

This novel has officially been renamed Against the Scales. Its former title was Marrying the Ugly Princess.

Every dragon has a palm-sized white scale beneath its neck, shaped like a crescent moon and commonly known as its reverse scale. Even the mildest dragon will erupt like a volcano and unleash its immense dragon might if that scale is touched.

Perhaps everyone has a reverse scale that must not be touched. I have one, and so do you.

The ends of the earth, an untouchable distance, an indescribable pain.

Both protagonists are strong-willed. How will things end? Read on to see the battle of wills between the plain princess and her philandering prince consort.

Legend has it that Haoyue, the eleventh princess of the Nanming Kingdom, was brilliant and breathtakingly beautiful from a young age, and dearly beloved by the emperor. Yuan Cang, the Right Chancellor, was an important court official. His son, Yuan Haotian, was peerlessly handsome, and naturally the two grew up together. When Haoyue was twelve, they were betrothed.

But she was born frail, and at thirteen she contracted a terrible illness. A wise healer saved her life, but left her with a frightening red mark on her right cheek.

From then on, people were afraid of her, her family avoided her, and her sweetheart fled their wedding. Truly, people's hearts can change! What good is sincere affection? How can it compete with a pretty face? Men and women alike judge a person's character by their looks. Ha, what a bunch of hypocrites.

By a twist of fate, the famous playboy Liu Qingmu became Haoyue's prince consort. Not only that, she turned out to be a woman! And a transmigrator, too?! What is to become of this marriage?

One wave stirs up a thousand more. Matters of state, family, and the world are pressing!

Dark currents roil among the five kingdoms, while conflicts rage throughout the martial world.

No matter what, Haoyue's radiance will not remain shrouded forever. One day, someone will finally understand her brilliance and dispel her gloom. Then she will shine brilliantly across the world, her beauty unrivaled, her sharp edge laid bare, and her prime unmatched.

P.S. This is a one-on-one romance.
