What Do I Do When the Loyal Dog I Like Isn't My Loyal Dog?

Neil Laurentius, a typical overpowered male lead, took down the Temple, killed the God of Light, fought his way from minor bosses to the final boss, and enjoyed one smooth victory after another, with countless followers and a harem of three thousand. Lawrence, on the other hand, was the Temple's chief knight and one of the bosses Neil took down. After dying, Lawrence returned to his youth, before any of it had happened. He still had a chance to change his fate, and then... He joined the Temple again, without hesitation. Even if the ending was the same, he was willing to be that man's sword and shield until the very end. ...Though something seemed to go wrong along the way. This time, Neil Laurentius didn't choose to "take him down." Instead, he chose to "take him" in another sense. But as long as they get a happy ending, that's all that matters, right? This story pairs Lawrence with Neil. It's a Western fantasy with an overpowered protagonist, and is probably a story about the loyal dog I like not being my loyal dog.
