In the third year of Tianbao, the landscape poet Chang Jian and the frontier fortress poet were framed and both left Chang'an.
On this day, Li Bai, a poet who was dedicated to the Imperial Academy, was drinking with He Zhizhang in the Orchid Wine Shop. They met a delivery boy who could chant and recite, which made the two of them sigh at the romantic place of Chang'an. At that time, Li Guinian summoned Xuanzong to summon Li Bai to the palace. Li Bai entered the palace and got drunk in front of the emperor, and had the privilege of being a powerful man polishing boots and a noble concubine polishing ink. He wrote three poems in "Qing Ping Tiao". Just when Xuanzong was appreciating them, he committed long and short sentences in the poems, which caused He Zhizhang to be dismissed from office.
Li Bai was already feeling cold towards Chang'an, but a few days later he said goodbye to He Zhizhang outside Chang'an and learned that He Zhizhang had died due to a plot by Li Linfu. The death of his old friend and the current situation of traitors in Chang'an made Li Bai speechless and filled with sorrow. When he was sitting in the city unable to relieve himself, he met the delivery man again. The delivery man's free and easy attitude towards life touched Li Bai, and Li Bai finally made up his mind to leave this murderous Chang'an.
