PS. This story is now updated five times a week. A-Yu takes Saturdays and Sundays off to rest and build up a backlog. A-Yu is a terrible writer who can only manage 500 words an hour, and sometimes can't even hit 500 when stuck, so this is the best I can do TAT. Updates go up at 1 a.m., when the campus network here is a little more reliable and not quite so laggy. October 26

Apology

At the beginning of June, I had to prepare for exams, so I asked everyone for a month's leave. I promised to update daily after going home for summer break, and to add extra chapters each day to make up for the ones I owed. But I let you down.

Whatever the reason, I broke my promise, and I owe everyone an apology.

I'm sorry I didn't do what I said I would.

I'm not a very patient person. The reason I signed a contract and went VIP in the first place was that I was afraid I'd get halfway through and become too lazy to write. Before writing fanfiction, I used to take notes in a dedicated notebook, recording my thoughts while reading the original and anything I might want to use. I never keep a backlog. When I first posted the story about Lü Ping, besides the two stories I was following at the time, Soy Sauce Through Time and Space and A Soy Sauce-Style Love Story, which gave me the idea of writing a collection with many stories gathered together, I was also reading other books that inspired me. For example, After the Dust Settled. Uh, there were a few others about Lü Ping too, but I can't remember their titles. Anyway, after Lü Ping was reborn, some stories had her go to Japan to act, and others had her become a full-time rich wife. None had her keep dancing. If Lü Ping doesn't dance, then her broken leg only causes her physical pain, right? What would be the point of being reborn? Just to torment the awful people around her or become strangers to them? If she hadn't been reborn, she couldn't have kept dancing either. So I started writing. It was purely a moment of excitement. But I never expected anyone to find this immature story of mine and leave an encouraging comment.

A-Yu kept going, and eventually went VIP.

When I went VIP, I said this story had reached the requirements because of everyone's support. I wasn't just being polite. It's true.

So after leaving this story without updates for so long because of my own personal reasons, I'm terribly embarrassed, even ashamed. Some stories that started around the same time as this one have already finished.

This time, A-Yu won't break her promise again or disappear without a word.

Thank you for supporting me. After four months without updates, I lost only a little over 700 followers.

Thank you to my editor, who even took the trouble to call and remind me.
