The Beautiful Rivers and Lakes: The Tale of the White-Clad One

Decades ago, the Murong clan had two major branches: the Southern Murongs and the Northern Murongs. Both descended from the former Great Yan state and were prominent families in the martial world. Unfortunately, each side insisted on being the true Murong line, and conflicts broke out both openly and behind the scenes. A man from the Northern Murongs fell in love with a woman from the Southern Murongs. Bound by the tradition that people with the same surname could not marry, they failed to win their families' approval, wasting a rare chance to ease tensions between the two branches. Instead, their love brought about a bloody disaster...

The bride wanted to elope with her beloved, but was framed by a villain and given poison instead of a sleeping drug... Their elopement, the poisoning, and their tragic deaths together became the spark. Those who had long resented the Murongs throwing their weight around in the martial world fanned the flames from the sidelines.

Kin turned against kin, and both sides were left devastated! The Murong clan dwindled until its survivors had no choice but to change their names and lie low.

Using the martial world as a name, borrowing its free spirit and its dreams, this is a tale of women blessed with grace and talent, and lives that stir the heart...
