After sweeping away the dust of years, I retreat into a misty pavilion veiled by rain, half-hidden among poetry and books, half occupied with pouring clear tea. Alone beneath the paper lantern's eaves, I softly play a song of autumn. The zither's notes are pure and lovely, its melody lingering. At the bend of the carved balustrade, the moon gently gathers a wisp of sheer gauze. Beneath the red gauze window, in the shadow of a red candle, long, silken hair softly sings as it combs through sorrow that stretches on like silk. With pearl curtains drawn against the moon, I keep still and find my own quiet peace. Standing amid the hush, gentle grace reveals itself without a sound. The clamor of the mortal world no longer catches my eye; thoughts of you are distant, yet every drop settles in my heart.
