The little girl who picked mushrooms

Carried a big bamboo basket

At dawn, barefoot, she walked through forests and over hills

She picked the most mushrooms

So many they were beyond counting, like stars

She picked the biggest mushrooms

Big as little umbrellas, filling her basket

When Li Qiushui, an apprentice to An Yuan Xiao Dang, was young and naive, she once went mushroom picking in the countryside. By chance, she witnessed a strange incident there and met Ye Sifei, the son of a wealthy merchant in town. Driven by curiosity, Qiushui and Sifei set out to uncover the truth behind the incident, only to discover that the strange phenomena concealed a bitter story no one knew.

After that, the two encountered one extraordinary incident after another, and their interest in the arts of magic and healing grew... This is the tale of a bloody case caused by a pile of mushrooms.
