The Silver Age Chronicle

If there are still spirits in this world, then let them return to the underworld. If they do not awaken, there will surely be fewer entanglements, fewer sorrows, and fewer stories.

If there are still nations in this world, then let them be peaceful and joyful, far from strife and war.

If there is still a throne in this world, then let someone else fight over it.

If there are still fathers and brothers in this world, then let them forget the past and keep only a little longing. It is enough for them to know that there was once something beautiful.

If there is still someone like this in the world, cold yet stubborn, ruthless yet considerate, scarred all over but never stripped of his pride, who remains strong and unyielding even in the depths of hatred and pain, and keeps walking the path he has chosen, one step at a time... then please, do not disturb him. His road is still very long; his story will go on for a long, long time.

Nothing hurts more than memory, and nothing is gentler than memory. The past and the homeland, days gone by and years of old; the vast silver earth, the brilliance of March spreading across the land. The Feathered, the Beastfolk, and humankind: whether parted in life or in death, whether joyful or sorrowful, whether in love or in hate, whether the lights in a thousand homes have become a solitary existence, whether the days of old have faded or been etched into memory, whether all living beings have become strangers or stayed by one another's side, at least those who survived will carry this story onward.

My university has a partner project to help with construction, so the day after tomorrow I'll be going to Gansu with my advisor. The reservoir area is still under construction, so the surroundings are rather desolate. I probably won't have internet access for a while... And I don't know how demanding the work at the reservoir will be. If my assigned tasks aren't too difficult, I'll try to find time to write... I'll update when I can...
