I'm so used to seeing it, and so tired of seeing it: in books, on TV, and online, whenever high school students are written about, they're either mentally unstable or so disillusioned that they don't care about the college entrance exam at all! It's so fake!
So I want to write something real about senior year of high school. My story is absolutely true, so I've only used nicknames. I'm sure my classmates will recognize our story as soon as they see those nicknames. And anyone who went through senior year properly will find something familiar here!
I really wasn't sure where to put this, but a friend of mine put it well: so what if it's romance? Isn't your novel about the feelings between you and your classmates? That's romance too!
That's right, I'm writing romance. Who cares what anyone thinks, as long as you like it!
