The Buddha said: Ask what love is in this world, and you will find joy in meeting and sorrow in parting, with lovesick men and women in between. Ask what love is in this world, and how many truly pledge their hearts to one another? Alas, fate is cruel and affection unreturned! Which is more bitter, life or death?
Who would dare lightly abandon ten thousand miles of rivers and mountains?
Heroes bow before this splendid land.
In this life, love and hatred turn back upon themselves,
You offer your realm as a betrothal gift;
In the life to come, the phoenix is reborn from the ashes,
And I will do all I can to repay you.
