Silent

Silence is an ambiguous stance. It may be helpless acquiescence, quiet resistance, or simply a form of self-torment...

Shen Momo has always been silent. But as Mr. Lu Xun said, “One either erupts in silence or perishes in it.” So Shen Momo erupted in silence, but after the eruption, she finally returned to silence, remaining silent until death. Perhaps she should never have erupted at all. Throughout her life, Shen Momo kept accepting things and staying silent, until it gradually became a habit. There is something cold about Shen Momo, so she can warm neither others nor herself.

No plot, no writing skill, no comments, and no idea whether I’ll keep writing.

One night, I had a dream. I dreamed that Silence Without Words was finished.

I woke up in shock. First, I was shocked to realize that I had long since stopped caring about Silence Without Words; second, I was shocked that in my dream I had given it a happy ending. Though I don’t even know what I’ll write next, a happy ending was never my intention.

After a long while of wistful regret, I decided to come crawling back to continue...
