I've always liked Yue Lingshan.
I've been reading fanfiction based on The Smiling, Proud Wanderer lately, and after finishing one, I wrote a short story of my own.
I'm conflicted. On the one hand, I hope Yue Lingshan gets a better ending, but I don't believe a transmigrator can turn everything around all by themselves.
Besides, Yue Lingshan loves Lin Pingzhi deeply and without regrets. Linghu Chong isn't really her type. Even without Lin Pingzhi, she wouldn't necessarily end up with Linghu Chong.
It seems like the only way to get Chong and Ling together would be to transmigrate into Yue Lingshan, but if you transmigrate, then you aren't Yue Lingshan herself.
