Well, I've decided to lock this story! I started it on a whim, without an outline, and that left it with a lot of glaring flaws. Later, I also gave it far too many unrealistic golden fingers, which made the story that followed a complete mess. And I've realized I have another major weakness as a writer: my characters' personalities aren't clearly defined. To put it bluntly, aside from the main characters, it feels as though I haven't written anyone with a complete personality! All of this has led me to decide to take some time to think through the story and start writing it again from scratch!
