In short, the protagonist somehow transmigrates into the world of Hunter x Hunter. By chance, they end up raising a child named Chrollo Lucilfer, and thus begins a story about raising a son while searching for a way home.
The protagonist thinks there's no hope of getting home and decides to raise their son well in this world. But then they get sent back to their original world. And so begins a story about missing their son and racking their brains to find a way back.
