A Dream at Dusk

Xiaokong had never made a mistake in his life. He thought that might be why, when he finally did make one, it was such a spectacular blunder.

But Xiaokong was very lucky: he got a chance to make things right. And so...

"How can there be a cult leader as shameless as you?"

"Well, isn't it all so I can make a pair with a despicable young master like you?"

"You... I really feel sorry for your subordinates..."

"Heh, there's no need. Actually, they feel even sorrier for you!"

Being happy in life isn't really all that complicated. Xiaokong thinks that no matter how big a mistake he makes, if there's someone who will smile and forgive him, that's happiness.

We spend our lives doing whatever we please, but will someone quietly put up with us after every selfish whim?

In short, this is the story of a fine horse who loves going back to an old pasture, and his efforts to bring that pasture home.

1. A gentle, secretly scheming top x a slightly seductive bottom of indeterminate disposition. Happy ending, probably lighthearted (I've always wanted to write something lighthearted, but somehow it never works out OTZ).

2. The setting is an alternate history, but it may include many things from our own history. Please don't scrutinize them too closely.
