They have bodies like ordinary people, but possess powers beyond those of ordinary mortals. Spirit wielders are said to have nine ranks, each with nine levels, for a total of eighty-one levels before reaching perfection. Each rank is divided, from lowest to highest, into the Earth, Heaven, Qi, Illusion, Fullness, and Spirit realms. Upon reaching the Spirit Realm, one advances another rank. Yet so far, no spirit wielder has reached the "Spirit Rank." It is said that Nuwa controls the Spirit Realm and possesses the power of the ninth rank, eighth level of Illusion.
Spiritual energy is divided into three main branches: Mechanical, Martial, and Magic. They support one another, generate one another, and counter one another.
