Some people say goodbye, then turn around and become gone forever;
Some people say goodbye, yet are destined to be entwined for a lifetime;
Seven years ago, Tong Yiyi met the boy Zhuo Lulin in a rainy alley.
He pulled her along as they ran, his eyes mischievous, hiding a world of secrets.
"Wait for me." She waited for him for seven whole years.
He was a police academy student who went undercover in the darkness, caught in circumstances beyond his control, then vanished without a trace.
She held on to their memories, outlasted her youth, and waited from girlhood into adulthood.
Seven years later, he returned, bloodied and battered, shedding his disguise, weathered by hardship.
They reunited in a hospital room. He looked at her, his eyes reddening:
"I'm back. I'm never leaving again."
