This is a Harry Potter story centered on Severus. Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone: What was that person doing? Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets: What was that person doing? Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban: What was that person doing? Wandering. Suspicion. Since his last mistake, he has lost almost everything, and can afford to lose no more. He clings to the little he still has, seeking to atone for his past. Perhaps Dumbledore can be trusted, or perhaps he too is holding something back. Severus, how many secrets are you still hiding? Perhaps I can't see through you, but I want to write down what I have witnessed, so that those who come after me can understand. Whatever the ending, this is the only stretch of memory that belongs entirely to him. If you are willing to open the bleak, sorrowful years of Severus Snape's unending torment, then you have chosen the same path as he did. Remember to take a flower to that person's grave on May 2. He may not have been a good man, but he did do things that saved our world. When you open this, be careful not to bring your face close to the screen. This is a notebook, not a Pensieve.
