There are creatures in the world known as "Half-Qi." The "Qi" in their name means "splendor." Qi are said to be exceptionally capable fighters, with forms more beautiful than those of humans, and that is how the Half-Qi supposedly got their name. Though they resemble humans, they are not human. In some eras, they were revered as "messengers of the gods," while in others they were scorned as "demons" or "monsters." To protect them from discrimination and persecution and help them coexist with humans, a city was built.
This city is surrounded by towering walls, and human entry and exit are strictly controlled. It is known as the World of Joy, Glashaim.
