This is the opening of the manga Ge Wei loves most. Ge Wei is an honest, quiet boy, much like the protagonist of One Piece.
As a shut-in, he doesn't have many friends, and he especially envies Luffy for having friends by his side. His only friend is Li Jie, whom he met on a One Piece forum. They both love One Piece, and when they discovered they lived in the same neighborhood, they became very close friends. But then disaster struck. The two of them were video chatting when an earthquake hit. To his utter amazement, Ge Wei transmigrated into the world of One Piece. Even more unexpectedly, he had become Luffy. With his longing for friendship and his love of One Piece, he sets out with his companions to find the long-awaited ONE PIECE!
