[Legend of the Ancient Sword: Lan Ling Fanfiction] A Heart Adrift

When Xiang Ling unwrapped the packet of leaves, her nails had turned pink, with a faint hint of orange. She dipped them in water and washed them, then lifted her hands and looked at them in delight. "The color really doesn’t come off!"

"See? I told you so." Lan Sheng proudly lifted his chin. "This color looks beautiful with your white-feather mermaid gauze."

"Thank you, Lan Sheng." Xiang Ling took a step forward, turned happily, and waved. "Well, goodbye, Lan Sheng..."

A little stunned by how sudden it was, Lan Sheng came to his senses and smiled. "Yeah. Goodbye, Xiang Ling..."

As they waved to each other, he saw Xiang Ling’s palm, but not the pink nails she had just painted. That was the other side, the side the person leaving to say goodbye would never see...

Goodbye, Xiang Ling...
