I shook the resume in my hand and glanced up at Boxun Technology. "Heh, I'm here to apply for a job." It was a small company in A City's development zone, so inconspicuous you'd hardly notice it.
He was clearly surprised, though he seemed to understand. He gave an awkward smile. The atmosphere quickly became unbearable. Anyone who saw a master's graduate returning from overseas, holding a resume and coming to interview at an obscure little company under the blazing sun, would probably have laughed to themselves. But we knew each other, so it felt awkward to ask too many questions. And so the scene grew uncomfortable.
At my age, all it takes is a blind date with someone who seems decent and has no serious flaws, and I could get married.
I just don't want to get married because my parents arranged it. While I can still cling to the last traces of my youth, I want to believe in love and fairy tales.
Though I've failed twice, since I'm still unmarried and he's still unattached, I'm willing to make one last effort.
