*Star Dream 2* has always been one of my favorite games. As a romance simulation game, its dazzling world is only part of the appeal. I especially love that you play as a woman and that the game is entirely in Chinese. (I love *Harukanaru Toki no Naka de* and *Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side* too, but sadly, they're both in Japanese.)
The tangled love and heartache between the heroine, Fang Ruoqi, and the many male leads in *Star Dream 2* has always been one of the game's biggest talking points. Its multiple endings have also kept the fanfiction scene thriving, and produced quite a few excellent stories.
So why have I only just thought to write this story? Mostly because *Star Dream 3* came out. There's no doubt the gameplay made a huge leap forward from its predecessor, but being limited to a male protagonist meant I could never really get into it. Instead, it inspired me to write this story.
