Tales from the Liu Family Home

An'an, or Bai Chenxin, lost both her parents. At ten, she went to live with her aunt, Zhang Bai. She endured the servants' mockery and the spoiled young lady Chong Ge's arrogance. The Zhang family raised her to adulthood as a bargaining chip for a marriage alliance. The Zhangs were a prominent family in Nancheng, while the Lius were rising stars. For various reasons, the two families decided to arrange a marriage. But Chong Ge looked down on her cousin Mingsi, who had loved her since childhood. Thinking of her daughter's future, Bai arranged for An'an to marry Mingchang, the sickly third son, hoping that steady, reliable An'an could take care of her wayward daughter. Miserable about her luck with men, An'an married into the Liu family alongside Chong Ge. The Liu family's eldest uncle had served as an official in the capital. With the princes locked in a fierce struggle within the palace, he feared being drawn into it, so he retired and returned to Nancheng. An'an also noticed that the eldest son's wife, Ping, was acting strangely, and suspected they had transmigrated too. But the truth left her completely dumbfounded! In the first branch, the husband was no husband and the wife no wife. In the second, the wife was strong and the husband weak, while the mother-in-law meddled and made trouble, unwilling to let go. In the third, the supposedly sickly Mingchang was still running around looking for women! This is a story about what goes on inside the Liu family home. Come on in and let me know what you think Taking a break. Updates will resume next Friday. I have no internet at home. Hehe, sorry, everyone.
