Blazing Shadows, Three Thousand Lights

Ancient Phoenix Clan, bloodline of the Red Lotus.

I am not Feng Yanyun. I am Yan Zifei.

I want more than revenge. I want to overturn the peace of this beastfolk world.

Maybe I'm wrong. So what? This is simply the real me.

Please note:

1. This story is told in first person, though there may be occasional omniscient narration. Please don't read it if you can't accept that.

2. The setting is a beastfolk continent. All birds, beasts, flowers, and plants can cultivate into human form, but retain some of their beastfolk features, such as cat ears. Plantfolk usually have a pattern of their true form imprinted between their brows. There are no humans. The world's hierarchy places beastfolk above all.

3. This is a collaborative story, so different characters have different perspectives. This viewpoint belongs to Yan Zifei. If you're interested in the other characters, you can find their stories at the other links. [Coming later.]

4. Let me be perfectly clear: Yan Zifei is a bad person. Don't mistake him for some deeply wounded character. Maybe he isn't evil to the core, but he's still exactly that kind of person: utterly selfish and capricious. All he wants is to live freely, so he doesn't take anything else to heart. But I love Yan Zifei as he is, and I'll make sure he finds happiness. Please don't read this if you can't accept that.

5. This story includes both danmei and BG pairings. Yan Zifei's pairing is danmei, while the other main characters will have BG pairings. Please don't read this if you can't accept that.

6. More to come.
