Synopsis

Su Tao, a nobleman with a peach-blossom face, is forced to marry a princess from a foreign kingdom. On the way to the frontier, he happens upon the bandit Zi Yu. The two hit it off at once, and later fight side by side to pacify the frontier's unrest. In the chaos of war, their feelings bloom as brightly as peach blossoms. As Su Tao puts it, "It has less of the mortal world's dust, but a little more of its love." A peach-blossom face, a peach-blossom fate, a peach-blossom calamity: in the end, the trials of love are hard to endure.
