Konghou

The knight from Zhao wears a tassel-trimmed hat; his Wu hook sword shines like frost and snow. His silver saddle gleams beneath a white horse, swift as a shooting star.

He kills a man every ten paces, traveling a thousand miles without leaving a trace. When the deed is done, he brushes off his clothes and leaves, hiding both his identity and his fame.

He casually visits Lord Xinling for a drink, laying his sword across his knees. He eats roasted meat offered to Zhu Hai and raises his cup to Hou Ying.

After three cups, he makes a promise without hesitation; even the Five Sacred Mountains seem weightless beside it. His eyes grow hazy and his ears burn, and his spirited resolve rises like a rainbow.

He saves Zhao with a golden hammer, and Handan is shaken to its core. For a thousand years, the two heroes' names will ring out across Daliang.

Even in death, a hero's bones leave behind a fragrant legacy, worthy of the finest souls in the world. Who can write of him beneath the pavilion, while spending a lifetime studying the Taixuan Scripture?

After a single surge of passion comes a lifetime of loneliness.

This life is no more than a song played on the konghou, and a fruitless vigil.
