Planting the dagger in the soft black earth before him, Wen Feng leaned wearily against a tree stump. Strands of his black hair clung to his forehead, while sweat streamed down his face. His skin was burning hot, and his undershirt was soaked through, leaving him feeling increasingly uncomfortable.
What on earth was going on? A surge of anger at being toyed with rose in his chest, only to be quickly suppressed by his physical discomfort. Pulling off his mask, Wen Feng slumped against the tree trunk and panted heavily.
He had left the noisy city just to make the most of this rare vacation, hoping to escape for a while from the endless work and the relationships that never stopped needing attention.
Who could have guessed that everything would turn strange after he entered this damned jungle?
