As the Buddha teaches: Life holds eight kinds of suffering, and they remain until death. Birth, aging, illness, death, meeting those you resent, separation from those you love, failing to obtain what you seek, and the burning intensity of the five aggregates.
The suffering of the burning five aggregates is the root of the eight sufferings. Body, spirit, heart, and mind all stem from it. Thus, as long as form has not passed away, sensation has not ended, perception has not ceased, formations have not been destroyed, and consciousness has not perished, all eight sufferings remain, and there can never be release.
