A Song That Topples the Nine Heavens

I'm just a little phoenix on Mount Wangmu, not particularly well liked. How could I possibly earn the favor of the High God Yuehua? Who would have thought that this so-called High God Yuehua was merely a lamp lighter? But why would someone so untouched by worldly cares be treated so unjustly? So your true form is actually this adorable... From now on, I think I'll call you my little pet. |The Nine Heavens Goddess, Qingdi Chongyuan, and the Music God Changqin. Or perhaps Little White Phoenix, the ill-omened bird beneath Mount Wangmu; the High God Yuehua, whose wings were broken in the mortal world; or Crown Prince Changqin, who vanished like smoke and clouds. |This is a little story set around the War of the Five Emperors. It is not epic in scale, nor is it a tragic romance. I write the gods of the primeval world of mountains and seas as they come to mind, with three parts truth and seven parts invention. It's been published and can be searched for and purchased on Dangdang and Joyo. The full text will be updated in October, and it won't be paywalled. Why not check out my new story below! Bamboo banquets, voices by the railing; a young master and a lovely lady laugh beside the water. A willow-green pool, graceful as Yao; one dream from a humble scholar eases the loneliness. → Theme:
