(Ye Xi Short Stories) Crane and Plum Blossom

Before reincarnation, they were already a tragedy.

Before they could be reincarnated, the King of Hell forced him to stay.

He refused.

So he was forced to reincarnate as a plum tree.

The other was forced to reincarnate as a crane.

Two lovers were torn apart alive in such agony.

One day, they met again.

But their different kinds meant that although the lovers were close enough to touch, they were separated as if by the ends of the earth.
