A Tenderness Too Hard to Bear

Lian: Lifetime after lifetime, will I truly meet you in this one? Demons are no different from humans. It's just that humans are too fragile, doomed to lose their memories of past lives as they pass through reincarnation. I was born for your fragility, and I live to bear the loneliness you have given me. Lan: Lian Ran, you should know that I live only for revenge and my own ambition. [Blurb] You said you wanted a lifetime of flourishing and withering. I gave you a pond of autumn water. You said you wanted a sky filled with stars. I gave you fireflies in the night. You said you wanted amber from three lifetimes. I gave you glass from lifetimes past. You said you wanted the adoration of thousands. I gave you power over all under heaven. At last, you asked what I wanted. I said I wanted your tenderness. You said, "I... am not worthy." If you are not worthy, then all I ask is that you look back at me once. Let my red lotus stain the scar in your blue eyes. The scar that will make me regret this for the rest of my life. Theme:
