Murong Jiu? The one in the original novel who was born into a wealthy family and was incredibly talented, but also incredibly unfortunate? The one Xiao Yu'er scared into becoming an idiot, who was passed from one person's hands to another, and, though she met someone who loved her, was married off by her own sisters without them daring to reveal that she was their brother-in-law's bride?
Murong Jiu? The one in the TV adaptation who was born into an even wealthier family, beautiful and venomous as a scorpion, but tragically had her entire family wiped out? The one who practiced some demonic martial art, went mad from cultivation, and ultimately met someone who loved her?
The newly appointed Murong Jiu wore a pretty, composed expression, but inside she kept muttering: I don't want to be scared into becoming an idiot. I don't want to be passed around like a bargaining chip. I don't want my whole family wiped out...
In short, this is the story of a sane Murong Jiu who fights to stay sane, stirs up trouble along the way, and smacks down a woman she's always disliked, someone who is obviously a narcissistic daffodil but insists on pretending to be an elegant orchid...
"Jingmei, let's make a bet. If I find you a good man you approve of, you'll call me big sister. If I can't, I'll call you big sister. How about it?"
Notes:
1. This is a fanfic that should be a blend of the original novel and the Jimmy Lin TV adaptation.
2. This story takes a nuanced approach to Tie Xinlan. By that, I mean she isn't simply vilified or put through endless angst. She's made just a little more flawed than in the original, so she faces the consequences of her own ideas and poor choices. Her major shortcomings are acknowledged, but so are some of her good qualities. If you don't like this kind of nuanced portrayal, please don't read.
3. About the protagonist's age: In the original book, Xiao Yu'er leaves the Valley of Evil at thirteen. He spends two years with a traveling troupe, and during those two years, Tie Xinlan follows Hua Wuque (Seriously, you like Xiao Yu'er, don't you? Why not go look for him instead of following Hua Wuque?). That makes him fifteen, but by the end of The Legendary Siblings, he's already in his twenties... I think that's too young an age for him to leave the valley, so I've changed it to fifteen. Is that okay?
4. As usual, any lines quoted from the original will be marked with []~
One more P.S.: There's a bug in this story that's really inconvenient to fix. I'll look through it and fix it when I have time. Hua Wuque's clothes are white, the white of moonlight, not moon-white... Moon-white is pale blue. I got it wrong before o(╯□╰)o. There are too many little details, so it's a hassle to fix. Please keep that in mind~

I have always liked the author's articles, and have been following them since the first Huamanlou fanfic until now. However, I only read Jiumei's novel recently because the author said it was based on Lin Zhiying's version of the TV series plot. When I think of Hua Wuque and Murong Jiu in that version, I really have all kinds of stomachaches and can't bear to be hurt. However, there are too few colleagues of Hua Wuque, so I had to imagine that Hua Wuque is Wu Dairong's version, which is really unparalleled in the world; Murong Jiu is Huang Yuan-shen's version, which is also played by Chen Yulian, so I am happy. After reading the whole article, I like the style. The author writes it well and I like it very much. I hope you can bring us more and better articles in the future.
Ps: I really feel that there are very few female characters in Gu Long's books that stand out, while the male characters are very well portrayed. Jin Yong's is just the opposite. I am reminded of a saying I have read. Gu Long is good at portraying male heroes, while Jin Yong is good at portraying strange women. It is absolutely true. I really don't know what would happen if the women in Jin Yong's works met the men in Gu Long's works. I wonder if the author is interested in writing about Jin Yong wearing an ancient dragon?
Back then, I read the books first and then the TV series, so I felt very bored.
I always feel that Cologne's things can't be expressed in TV series.
Oh ho ho ho, it's over. . . Lian Xing is still dead after all. . . . . Make up points
Come back to make up points. . . Little Baozi is so powerful. . .
I have a cold, dear~~I feel so uncomfortable
Tsk. I want to see the extra story about their future lives.
Okay, but I have to say, not only have I not read the original work of Wulin Foreign History, I have not even watched the TV series = =Completely ignorant = =
Hahahaha~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~A happy reunion after all the hard work
No, the new article is by Wang Lianhua. I always thought this article was very poorly written (disfigured, boss dad, etc.). . . . .
It's finally over, scatter flowers and jump to the next pit
