P.S. Please keep the following points in mind while reading:

1. One thing I have to say is that the fairy Jiangzhu is not the same as Lin Daiyu. Jiangzhu hasn't yet experienced everything in the mortal world. She mistakenly enters My Fair Princess with her memories as the fairy Jiangzhu; she is not Sister Lin, and she hasn't developed Sister Lin's personality.

The reason Xia didn't make up a fairy of her own was entirely because the fairy Jiangzhu's story of repaying kindness with tears fit Xia's own idea perfectly. Of course, that's just Xia's opinion. After all, Xia has only read the first twenty or thirty chapters of Dream of the Red Chamber. Xia really doesn't know what Sister Lin is like, and only has a vague image of her in mind, weeping like a pear blossom in the rain. (I added this because so many people said Xia was bashing Sister Lin.)

2. The plot points in this story all come from My Fair Princess II, from the doll incident through the end of Part Two. Part Three will be touched on a little, but not much.

3. The specific dates in this story are based on historical dates, so there may be some discrepancies. Anyway, they're pieced together from information in My Fair Princess, so please don't quibble over them.

4. The story follows the 1998 TV version of My Fair Princess, but the characters are different, and their personalities may also differ somewhat. Please don't assume they are exactly the same as the original characters.
