Shiki: At Summer's Dusk

From the early hours of July 24 onward, this village was fated to march step by step toward its own destruction. The summer dusk settled in, the setting sun bloodred, and everything unfolded just as foretold. A girl who willingly moved to Outer Field Village, and a boy struggling to escape it. Between them, death, funerals, and bloodshed were constant, never letting up. Synopsis: From the very beginning until now, Xia Ye has slowly lost his heart. But the truth gradually rising to the surface is something he cannot accept. He begins to wonder: Is the girl he knows still really her? The world of humans, corpse demons, and werewolves is no longer the world he once knew. And now he discovers that he is about to plunge into an unfathomable abyss... A little clarification: Most of the story follows the anime's plot, but since the dates in the anime are all over the place, I referred to the original novel. I may have borrowed a little from it, so please forgive me! For those unfamiliar with the anime: Corpse demons are creatures who were once human, died after being bitten by a corpse demon, and came back to life. They survive on blood and are somewhat like vampires. During the day, they fall into a forced sleep, an irresistible biological rhythm, though they may wake if strongly disturbed. They are weak, however. My older works: (Please check them out when you have time!)
