[Xiao Qing] If You Cannot Soar, You Will Bring Me to Ruin

Inscription "Phoenix Seeks Its Mate: A Song for the Zither" by Wang Shifu There is a beauty whom, once seen, I cannot forget. A day without seeing her leaves me longing as if mad. The phoenix soars through the skies, seeking its mate across the four seas. Alas, the beauty is nowhere by the eastern wall. I use my zither in place of words, to express the feelings in my heart. When will you accept me, and ease my restless longing? May our virtues be a match, and may we walk hand in hand. If we cannot fly together, I will be lost. Theme:
