[Zhu Cang | Modern AU] The Road Less Traveled (Ongoing)

Subtitle: Ten Days in Ice City They find their way to each other, fall in love, grow together, and help each other become their best selves. Yes, this is their story. [Completed 2026.03.14] When I typed the words "The End," I felt momentarily dazed. I didn't know what fate was until I did. Now I understand what it means that, since ancient times, tales of love have always been hidden histories. I began serializing this after the Start of Spring in the Year of the Wood Snake. Thankfully, the Year of the Snake was long, and I managed to finish it by the end of the first lunar month in the Year of the Fire Horse. This story kept me company through a particularly special year and more. I gained so much from it. I have to say that I'm filled with gratitude and awe at the way Heaven arranged things. Creators are merely conduits. As the author, I didn't understand what the painting was until I had finished it. Everything I wanted to express is in these words. The past is behind us; our light shines from within. From here on, the world is ours. My heartfelt thanks to every reader who patiently stayed with me to the end. Everyone, may we meet again in the martial world, if fate allows. [2025.02.12 Lantern Festival] "Heaven and earth are an inn for all things; time is a passing traveler through the ages." This can be considered the second volume of Changfeng. At last. I couldn't write this story for many years. What first drove me to write Changfeng was my attachment to the original story. But the reason I wanted to write this volume was to let go of that attachment. But if that attachment were gone, what would there be left to write? For a long time, I couldn't answer that question, and so this story, originally based on transmigration through time and space, couldn't begin. Until the new year of 2025. At last, I understood that the story about to unfold had nothing to do with that attachment anymore. Perhaps it will resolve old regrets, perhaps it will bring new ones. Either way is fine. I accept it all. It's simply love, for love's sake. Love for the world, for others, and for oneself. That's enough. Cang and Zhu Wu... In our peaceful and prosperous age, of course they will be happy. And so this story is also called "The Inn of Life." Life is an inn, and we are all travelers. Time passes, but our original aspirations remain. [2025.01.08 Writing began] Theme: Finding your way to each other. Unconditional love is unconditional.
