HP: Regulus

The Blacks are always pure.

So although the Black family has many descendants, its family tree bears burn marks of all sizes.

It seems that every generation of the Black family has had children struck from the record.

Regulus Black.

The younger son of the Black family, he had an outstanding older brother. His parents would always unconsciously overlook him. He was only the younger son, easy enough to ignore, especially with a clever, exceptional older brother ahead of him.

He grew used to silence, to being overlooked, and to being alone.

When Sirius rebelled and abandoned his duty as heir, Regulus was forced to shoulder that responsibility. Everything for the Blacks.
